The Ellington Kid: VICE Shorts This short film contains mise-en-scene, camerawork, editing and sound. All of these are used to add to the genre of the short film being violence, thriller documentary. In this short film there are lots of scenes that involve violence, including someone being stabbed. This short film is based on stereotypical views of people in council estates being aggressive and stabbing people in gangs. The target audience of this film is people aged around 15+ in the social grade of C2DE for these people would be more familiar with the narrative of the story. This short film shows the genre at the start of the film for there is meat being cut up and someone sharpening blades aggressively. After this there is then a scene that contains someone putting frozen chips in the fryer, this gives the impression that this scene is based in a fast food restaurant.
