LO2: Setting up equipment
In this image is Emily using a tripod, microphone, and cannon DSLR camera, when setting up the tripod you can set it to different lengths, if you need the tripod to be long then you need to unclip the latches on each leg and slide it down. Furthermore, when attaching the camera to the tripod you need to use the slider and attach it to the camera, then you need to tighten it to the camera by screwing in the screw that goes into the camera and twist it. Now attaching the microphone to the camera, you can easily slide it onto the camera than using the little gear on the on the camera you can tighten it up. When abiding by the health and safety guidelines especially.
This image is shows Ben putting the camera on to the weighted mount for the Steadicam. When setting this up you need to make sure the mount is on a flat surface, so it doesn't fall over and break the camera. Another health and safety tip when setting up this piece of equipment is if there are any wires attached and coming out of the camera then they need to either be wrap up around the pole of the mount or kept in your pocket, this will reduce tripping and breaking the camera if any of the wires were ripped out.
This image is of me attaching the camera mount to the StediCam. When attaching this part, the user needs to be able to line up the poles to the holes which are attached to the vest, once they have done this than they need to attach the weighted camera mount to the arm. A safety hazard we had to deal was the arm of the mount was dense, so we had to make sure it is held in place, so it isn't going to hit anyone while we set it up.
